Interior

We restore interiors using period-correct materials and techniques, from leather upholstery and wood trim to instrument gauges and chrome accents.

Period-Correct Materials

Interior restoration begins with a careful assessment of the existing materials. Original leather, fabric, and vinyl are evaluated for condition and authenticity. Where replacement is necessary, we source materials that match the factory specification -- correct grain, weight, and color.

For Mercedes-Benz vehicles, we work with suppliers in Germany who produce leather and MB-Tex vinyl to the original specifications. Carpet sets are cut from correct-weight loop or cut-pile material in the factory color. Headliners are fitted using the original attachment methods.

Woodwork

Dashboard and door cap wood trim is stripped of old lacquer, repaired where necessary, and refinished with multiple coats of high-gloss polyurethane or lacquer appropriate to the era. Veneer repairs are made using matching species and grain patterns.

Chrome and Trim

Interior chrome trim, window cranks, door handles, and bezels are replated in the correct finish -- chrome, nickel, or anodized aluminum depending on the original specification. Rubber seals and gaskets are replaced with correct-profile reproductions.

Instruments

Gauges are removed, disassembled, cleaned, and recalibrated. Bezels are polished or replated. Faces are refinished where wear has made them illegible. Clocks are overhauled or fitted with modern quartz movements behind the original face.
