Paint and Body

Our paint and body work is performed in a climate-controlled environment with attention to factory-correct color codes, panel fit, and finish quality.

Factory-Correct Finish

We match paint to original factory color codes using the manufacturer's formulations. For Mercedes-Benz vehicles, this means referencing the DB color system and applying coatings that are appropriate to the era of the vehicle -- single-stage enamel for earlier models, base-clear for later production.

Every respray begins with preparation. The body is stripped to bare metal by sandblasting or chemical stripping. Rust is cut out and new steel welded in place. Panel gaps are set and body lines verified against factory specifications before any primer is applied.

Our Process

High-build primer is applied and block-sanded through progressive grits until the surface is true. Multiple coats of color are applied in our spray booth, followed by clear coat where appropriate. The final finish is wet-sanded and machine-buffed to achieve the correct level of gloss for the vehicle's era.

Structural and Panel Work

We fabricate replacement panels in-house when factory or reproduction parts are unavailable. Floor pans, rocker panels, wheel arches, and trunk floors are common repairs. All welding is performed using techniques appropriate to the gauge and alloy of the original material.
