This 220SEb Cabriolet arrived from a private collection in need of a ground-up restoration. The body was largely intact but the undercarriage showed significant corrosion from decades of storage near the coast.
Our team performed a complete bare-metal restoration including new floor pans, rocker panels, and trunk floor. The original M127 inline-six was rebuilt with new bearings, rings, and valve guides. Every rubber seal, gasket, and bushing was replaced with correct-specification parts.
The interior was reupholstered in black leather to match the original factory specification. Chrome trim was replated, and the soft top was replaced with a new German-made canvas. The result is a vehicle that drives and presents as it did when it left the Sindelfingen factory in 1963.
